PHILIP BERG MVO, FRCO, ARCO

Philip Berg studied the organ at the Royal College of Music under Richard Popplewell. He was Assistant Director and then Director of Music at St Paul’s Preparatory School (Colet Court), and the Organist, St. Paul's School, for 32 years.  He was Assistant Organist at The Queen's Chapel of the Savoy 1980-87, and succeeded Dr William Cole as Master of the Music in January, 1995. Since then he has performed the complete works of Bach there, and much else besides.  The Chapel’s fine choir of professional men and boys has broadcast on Radio 3, Radio 2, and Classic FM (a live broadcast from St George’s Chapel, Windsor, and their performance earned them ‘moment of the week’).   As organist he has performed at many different venues, including the cathedrals of St Paul’s, Worcester, Inverness, Westminster Abbey, Chartres, and Brandenburg Dom.  He has also been heard as accompanist on BBC radio.

Tickets are £10, under 18s free. Tickets can be purchased on the door. We accept cash, card or contactless payments.
